  • Kazakh beginning of spring

    In Kazakhstan, spring break begins today. Although we still have a huge blanket of snow, the Central Asian peoples celebrate the beginning of spring from 21 to 23 March with the wonderful Nauris Festival. As part of a student exchange, some pupils of the school "St. Lorenz" were able to spend a week in a remote Kazakh village, where they got to know the interesting culture of the country intensively. With traditional dances, instruments, songs, plays and many delicacies from horses and mutton, the third school quarter came to an end.

  • 100 homemade hats from Austria

    A beautiful and useful idea becomes reality: Only Mrs. Erika from Austria probably knows how many hours she knitted: Our friends from Missio-Austria presented the children of our kindergarten with these homemade, warm caps in a wide variety of colors. The children are very happy! These head protection is also urgently needed, because it can get really cold here with up to -40 degrees. A huge THANK YOU for this wonderful action!   • Support from the Allgäu/Germany

    We are very pleased about the generous support of the "Sternsingeraktion" for our kindergarten in Korneewka, in which almost 70 children are registered. This allowed us to redesign the entrance area and renew the partly Soviet-based furnishings (desks, cabinets and shelves) of two playrooms of our children's groups. In addition, it was possible to get a lot of toys and learning materials. A huge THANK YOU especially to the parishes of Ebersbach, Obergünzburg and Willofs in the Allgäu/Germany, who made this great help possible!

  • Digital competitions

    Once again, robot competitions are taking place in the northern capital Petropavlovsk (not far from the Russian border). This still quite new form of employment is greatly promoted in Kazakhstan. Our young people are enthusiastic about different categories: We have had good results in robot racing, where the autonomous vehicle overcoming a certain route with some obstacles as quickly as possible. This time we got a second and two third places. This will also allow us to participate in the nationwide competitions in the coming months. We are pleased that our students in particular participate enthusiastically and successfully!
